It's #NationalMargaritaDay, folks and we are READY at Urban Farmhouse. What goes better with margaritas than a big 'ole bowl of guacamole? Follow this quick and simple recipe and you'll be ready to roll.
1/2 White or Yellow Onion
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Creole Seasoning
1/2 TSP Salt
Slice your avocados in half and extract the pit. Use a spoon to remove the avocado from its skin and place them in a bowl.
Next, dice your tomatoes. Some prefer big pieces, other's don't. We prefer a smaller dice!
Then, chop your onion. Not many people like big chunks of onion, so be sure to keep that in mind. Pile all of these ingredients in the bowl with your avocados!
Grab a lemon/lime juicer and squeeze all of the lime juice into the bowl with the rest of your guac ingredients. You can never have too much lime juice! It tastes great and helps to keep the leftover guacamole fresh in the fridge.
Lastly, season away. You can always add more seasoning later after you've tried a bite!
Use a big fork (or even a potato masher) to mash and mix all of your ingredients together. Give it a quick taste to determine whether or not you need more seasoning and then scoop it all into a bowl. If you don't have a bowl, you should check out all of our Mud Pie items we have in stock! There are so many unique options to serve your food creations in - like our cute little Mud Pie guac bowl we have here!
Stop in this weekend and we'll be serving margaritas all day Friday & Saturday in honor of #NationalMargaritaDay and Mardi Gras weekend!
It's always a party at #UFD, and you don't want to miss it.
